Easy Home Cleaning Remedies

Lemons

Lemons are our absolute most-loved ingredient in homemade cleaning products. There are a variety of ways to utilize lemons, from cleaning to removing the stains.

  • Garbage disposal: Cut the lemons and place the entire slice in the disposal. The juice from the lemon will cleanse and disinfect the disposal, while the rind releases a refreshing aroma of fruits. It's not harmful to the disposal, and it will eliminate any bacteria that cause odor.

  • Cleaning: The juice of a lemon can assist in brightening colors and whites. You can add the juice of one lemon to your laundry together with the normal detergent.

  • Counter tops: A mix of baking soda and lemon juice will wash your counter tops. Cut the lemon in half, then expose the lemon in baking soda. Rub the exposed part on the counter tops of your kitchen; baking soda should be rough enough to remove any residue. The juice will cleanse and disinfect. Avoid using this for cleaning precious stones as well as stainless steel. The baking soda can cause damage or discoloration of the surface. Be sure to try a small portion before applying the mix to the entire counter.

Cooking Oils

Cooking oil is an excellent solution for home cleaning. Oils can be utilized to polish wood and stainless steel.

  • Furniture: Furniture made from wood is prone to acquiring an unattractive color if it is not maintained correctly. A fantastic home-cleaning solution for wood is to use the ratio of two tablespoons of olive oil and one lemon juice. Get a clean rag and rub the oil mixture over the wood gently. Check to ensure that you're not damaging the wood by examining a small area first. After applying the oil, you will need to use a clean cloth to clean the excess oil off the wood. The wood will look fresh and hydrated. It will also shine as new. Also, you can use white distilled vinegar instead of lemon juice. Lemon juice will wash dirt out of furniture, while the oil will clean it.

  • Stainless steel: Stainless steel can be cleaned by applying olive oil in a fresh cloth and carefully wiping off the stainless steel. Be sure to follow the grain of metal and not employ circular motions. The surface of a stainless steel can be easily scratched, which is why you need to be cautious while polishing the steel. Do not use paper-based towels for cleaning stainless steel like napkins or paper towels. The best option to use to clean stainless steels is new or fresh microfiber cloth.

Vinegar

Vinegar is a product that professional cleaners make use of for home-based cleaning solutions. Vinegar can be used to wash floors, bathrooms, and drains.

  • Floors: Use vinegar to scrub almost every kind of flooring. The acidity cleans and slows down the growth of mold as well as bacterial development, which makes your floors cleaner. To clean floors, add 1/4 cup of vinegar with the warm water in a bucket. Make use of a clean, dry cloth and vinegar mixture to clean floors. We do not recommend applying vinegar to hard wood flooring due to possible discoloration. If you want to clean hard wood floors, it is best to make use of warm water. Clean hard wood floors with the proper hardwood cleaners. Be sure to dry the floor you're cleaning to prevent water spots.
